3D bioprinted organ models key to $1.9 billion market

3D bioprinted organ models key to $1.9 billion market

Currently, the average wait time for a liver is 4 to 5 months, and 2.5 to 3 years for a kidney in the UK. Despite the acceleration in 3D bioprinting research we have witnessed in the past few years, we are still far from the holy grail of printed organs for transplant.
