For people who suffer from anxiety, symptoms can be positively life-altering. What once felt normal and easy can become fraught and overwhelming. Activities once enjoyed may start to fill you with dread. The onset of anxiety might be gradual, over months or years or even a lifetime. Or it can strike suddenly and without warning. For more information see the IDTechEx report on Bioelectric Medicine 2019-2029.
Alpha-Stim is an FDA cleared, handheld medical device that brings lasting and often immediate relief from anxiety, it has been proven to effectively treat acute, post traumatic, and chronic pain, as well as anxiety, insomnia, and depression. The device employs a modality called cranial electrotherapy stimulation (CES), in which a tiny current of electricity is delivered through two earclip electrodes to restore balance to the brain. Microcurrent electrical therapy (MET) delivers pain relief directly to the source of discomfort via two handheld Smart Probes.
Alpha-Stim is an excellent alternative for people who wish to avoid the side effects of or dependence on medications. Treatments are fast, easy, and done in the comfort of your own home. The results are cumulative and users feel increasingly better over time, and are then able to reduce frequency of using the device. Alpha-Stim can safely be used in conjunction with other modalities or medications.
It is reported that a new trial by the NHS has found that Alpha-Stim may actually help to ease symptoms in a fast and rather simple way. In the study, published in the Journal of Effective Disorders, 161 volunteers, suffering from Generalised Anxiety Disorder, were given cranial electrotherapy stimulation, in the form of an Alpha-Stim AID. Half of patients went into remission after treating themselves with the battery-operated device. Researchers say it has the potential to revolutionise mental healthcare and could save the health service millions of pounds.
